Terms and Services

1. Ordering

  1. The customer is not obliged to make the payment after placing an order.
  2. The customer is not committed to anything and can stop paying at any time.
  3. Orders will be delivered immediately unless there is not enough stock.
  4. ShockGames will do its utmost to ensure that there is always enough stock.

2. Game Servers

  1. If the consumer does not renew the server, ShockGames is authorized to shut down the server.
  2. If the consumer does not renew the server, ShockGames is authorized to remove all data of this server after 3 days.
  3. Support with regard to plugins/resources and code is not always guaranteed due to its complexity.
  4. ShockGames is not responsible in case of data loss. The customer is responsible for making backups.

3. VPS

  1. The customer is not allowed host or run any websites/programs that are prohibited under law. Such as performing DDoS attacks, hosting child porn content and hosting copyrighted content.
  2. The customer is not allowed to send spam from his ShockGames servers.
  3. ShockGames is not responsible in case of data loss. The customer is responsible for making backups.
  4. ShockGames will not provide support for third-party apps but sometimes we can put you in the right direction.
  5. ShockGames is allowed to suspend the server if there is any kind of illegal activity on the server.
  6. It’s not allowed to mine crypto on a VPS.
  7. With a virtual server you share CPU performance with other customers, therefore it’s not allowed to use the CPU heavily for extended periods of time (fair use).

4. Support

  1. The customer can open a ticket in our Discord server or send us an email to [email protected], if have any questions regarding their service(s).
  2. The official (non-SLA) response time of ShockGames is 24 hours. But in practice this can of course be a lot faster.
  3. ShockGames only offers support on the services provided by ShockGames.
  4. ShockGames does not provide support for third-party software.

5. Refunds

  1. By placing an order, the customer accepts that ShockGames does not accept any refund request that isn’t covered by our refund policy.
  2. The customer is entitled to a refund if the services of ShockGames have an availability of less than 99%, caused by technical issues on our side.
  3. Downtime not caused by ShockGames such as a misconfiguration made by the customer does not count.
  4. The customer needs to report a technical issue the the ShockGames support via a support ticket in our Discord server and give ShockGames enough time to fix the issue.
  5. A refund will be denied if the reason for the refund is: “I don’t know how it works”. The customer is responsible for installation and configuration of any programs or plugins in his server.
  6. A refund will be processed within 7 business days.
  7. Some countries have a legal period in which the customer can terminate their server without giving any reason. The customer then gets his money back. This is called Right of withdrawal (or herroepingsrecht). By placing an order with ShockGames, you agree to waive this right.
  8. The customer may not refund the payment, through payment services such as Paypal by submitting a claim. They must always request a refund via the ShockGames support.
  9. If the customer opens a claim with Paypal or opens a dispute at the credit card provider, ShockGames may immediately stop and delete the services of the customer without warning.

6. Other obligations of ShockGames

  1. ShockGames is not responsible for the content that the customer is hosting.
  2. ShockGames will remove illegal content or other illegal applications/scripts that are not permitted by law.
  3. ShockGames is not responsible for data-loss in any case.

7. Changes in the terms and services

  1. ShockGames is allowed to change the terms and services at any time.
  2. ShockGames has to announce every change in the #announcements channel in it’s Discord server.
